THERAPIST
Hello! My name is Sajana, and I am a pre-licensed therapist working towards licensure as an LPC-MHSP while pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I hold a Masters in Clinical and Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Midwestern State University.
I have experience working with adolescents and adults facing a wide range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to personality disorders and trauma. My past experiences include working at college psychological clinics and an outpatient intensive care center.
In my approach, I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) integrated with elements of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and I believe in fostering a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship with my clients. I have a particular interest in relationship therapy andenjoy helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of their connections and communication.
I am committed to understanding and respecting the diverse identities, backgrounds, and experiences of each person I work with, ensuring that care is individualized to meet their specific needs. My approach is person-centered, and I strive to create a safe, open environment for personal growth and healing.
