Hi, I’m Presley! I’m excited to get connected with clients as I recently graduated from LMU with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am actively working on becoming licensed. I graduated from UTK in 2022 with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. 

I enjoy working with children as well as adults and have immediate availability for both. I consider my relationship with clients to be the most important aspect of therapy, and would love to build a therapeutic relationship with you and/or your child. I offer play therapy sessions for children ages 5-12 and have found it to be a powerful transformative process for children struggling with anxiety, impulsive behaviors, and more. I’d love to get connected with you and your child to start this process!

For adults, I mainly utilize an Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework in addition to DBT and CBT. If you’ve ever seen the movie Inside Out, IFS is based on a similar framework, building on the movie’s idea of internal emotions and taking it further. To give a short summary, IFS believes we are composed of parts of ourselves that can become extreme when trying to protect us from pain, and that it is easy to become led by our parts instead of our core Self. Through building internal awareness and facing wounded parts with compassion, curiosity, and courage, we can work together to build a more balanced internal world and an increased sense of control over your life. IFS has been immensely beneficial for me as a client, and is something I hold close to my heart in my clinical work.
